The Ålesund Chamber Choir was founded in 1980, and currently has between 20 and 30 active singers.
Since autumn 2006, Rune Bergmann has been the choir’s artistic director and conductor. The choir’s repertoire is versatile and ranges from church music and pop to jazz and folk songs. The Ålesund Chamber Choir has participated in many successful events in a variety of musical genres during its 30-year history. The choir has participated in competitions, festivals and other events both in Norway and abroad, and has released three albums.
