The strong, delicate voice from the Faroe Islands that finds music everywhere.
The vocalist, instrumentalist, and composer from the majestic islands possesses a voice of extraordinary beauty and power – delicate, stirring, and supernatural.
Eivør Pálsdóttir held her very first concert in a cave at her home island at the tender age of 15, and already the year after she released her first solo album. 11 albums later, her music has featured on TV series, movies, and games like Game of Thrones, The Last Kingdom, Deep Water Horizon, Silence, and Metal Gear Survive.
The love for the Faroe Islands’ culture and nature is deeply rooted in Eivor. Gradually, she has extended her musical base to include jazz, country folk, big band, classical music, and trip-hop rock, all merged in her own seamless folktronica style. In Norway, she is known for her many year’s collaboration with Vamp, and at this year’s Festival she also features as a guest artist in the concert series Nordvegen.
Last year’s English version of the album Slør resulted in two sold out tours in Great Britain and a European tour this spring. Eivør is renowned for her compelling live performances with her warm and vital presence, and she is now ready to perform in yet another cave – this time in the centre of Bergen.
