Festival exhibition: Knut Åsdam
Knut Åsdam (born 1968) is one of Norway’s best known artists on the international scene. In his work with film, video, photography, text, sound and architecture he looks at identity building and the relationship between the individual and the environment.
A recurring theme is modern-day city life. His experimental works seek to expose the underlying urban structures that influence the personality of the individual.
Knut Åsdam currently lives in Oslo, but he made his name internationally in New York, where he worked and lived for ten years. He has exhibited worldwide and participated at numerous international film festivals.
