Enchanting Sunday close to nature in Sæverud’s own paradise.
The great family day at Harald Sæverud’s property is a valued and popular tradition. The composer’s property in Fana is wonderfully beautiful and Sæverud was fond of wandering in the bewitching surroundings at Siljustøl. Many new musical works found their inspiration here.
This Sunday at Siljustøl there will be displays of dancing, fun figures and unexpected encounters on the trails created by Dukkenikkerne theatre group. Singer Bodil Lunde Rørtveit and percussionist Terje Isungset will perform excerpts of the musical piece Munch Remastered, inspired by Edvard Munch’s paitings. The music is hypnotic, mysterious, without words and with elements of folk, contemporary, electronic and jazz music.
There will be guided tours of the house and mini concerts by Rune Alver of Sæverud’s famous piano works.
