Mime, comedy, music, and acrobatics
UduL is an entertaining performance about the art and non-art of body language. In this performance, the Catalonian company Los Galindos conjures up emotional landscapes where the building blocks of body language are rearranged and put back together in a fascinating, disturbing, and comical manner.
Los Galindos draws inspiration from vaudeville, from 'voix de ville' – the voice of the town, a circuslike genre who appeared in France in the 18th century. In the circular tent at Festspillplassen, the company combines pantomime, dialogue, dance, and music, in their special way of connecting with the audience. The result is a celebration – and declaration – of the language of theatre as a popular style of expression. UduL is circus for the soul and mind, where your gut-feeling resonates with the actors' facial expressions and acrobatic tricks.
