The concert master of the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and a passionate pianist.
Camilla Kjøll, violin, has a busy schedule: she is into her first season as concert master of Lucerne Symphony Orchestra in Switzerland and is well established as a chamber musician, soloist and orchestral leader. She was the first concert master at the Norwegian Opera & Ballet from 2012 to 2016. She has performed at a number of international festivals, and her most recent Bergen International Festival performance was in 2011. She has also been a soloist with and member of the greatest chamber and symphony orchestras in Norway.
Camilla Kjøll's partner is pianist Christian Ihle Hadland, who has performed at the Bergen International Festival on several occasions, including an appearance as the soloist in Grieg's A minor Concerto in 2012. ‘Nobody else has his combination of poetry and pantherish power; he has a uniquely magic touch,’ wrote the British newspaper The Independent. At this year’s Festival Christian Ihle Hadland also plays a double concert with violist Lars Anders Tomter and clarinetist Sharon Kam in Troldsalen.
At Lysøen their programme includes chamber works by Bull, Szymanowski, Chausson and Ravel.
