Credit card payments at www.ticketmaster.no
Credit Card Payments Online processing of credit card payments on our ticketing provider’s website: www.ticketmaster.no is limited to European cards. Cardholders outside of Europe are asked to contact the Ticketmaster customer center at 0047 815 33 133 weekdays between 09:00 and 17:00 or between 10:00 and 14:00 on Saturdays for a card charge by phone. For card security reasons we ask you to refrain from sending credit card details by e-mail.
Tickets that have been stolen or lost
You are not entitled to a refund on tickets that have been lost or stolen, nor are you entitled to new tickets. In most cases, we will be able to print copies of tickets for events with numbered seats. Contact Bergen International Festival’s ticket office.
If you present part of a damaged ticket, you can go to Bergen International Festival’s ticket office for a printout of a copy.
Tickets that have not been received by post from www.ticketmaster.no
Tickets should be sent within three working days; tickets for big events may take somewhat longer. If you have not received your tickets in good time before an event, contact Ticketmaster’s customer centre on +47 815 33 133.
Tickets that have not been received by email
Go to www.ticketmaster.no and log in to ‘My account’ using your email address and the password you chose when you ordered tickets. Select ‘Pick up’ then ‘TicketFast’ to print your tickets. If you don’t see your tickets, contact Ticketmaster’s customer centre on (+47) 815 33 133.
If the event is the same day and the customer centre is closed, contact Bergen International Festival’s ticket office or the venue’s ticket office.
Tickets that have been bought for a specific event cannot be exchanged for tickets for another event. We can try to help you to swap dates for the same production. This must be done at one of Bergen International Festival’s ticket offices at least two hours before the performance starts.
If events are cancelled or rescheduled, Bergen International Festival will refund tickets. The service charge will not be refunded. Tickets for rescheduled events are still valid, and can be used on the new date. Tickets for cancelled/rescheduled events will not be refunded if 60 days have elapsed after the original date of the event.
- If you purchased your tickets at one of Bergen International Festival’s ticket offices, you can contact the office in question to obtain a refund for the tickets.

In the event of bad weather during an outdoor event, tickets are not refunded unless the performance is cancelled.
Being unable to attend an event due to personal reasons
You are not entitled to a refund for tickets if you are unable to attend an event due to personal reasons such as illness, work, public transport delays, and nor are you entitled to new tickets. See also ‘Exchanging tickets’.
Dissatisfied with an event
If you are dissatisfied with an event, you are not entitled to a refund for the tickets, and nor are you entitled to new tickets.
When you buy a Festival Card 2016, you get a satisfaction guarantee. If you buy a ticket for a performance and you are not satisfied, we will give you a new ticket to a different performance (free ticket in a similar price category) at Bergen International Festival 2016. All you have to do is go to the ticket office at Grieghallen or our ticket stall and hand in the ticket for the performance that you were disappointed with. We will ask you to provide a brief written explanation, and to provide your name, phone number and/or email address. Read more about the Festival Card here.
Insurance when you buy a package deal
We recommend that you take out cancellation and travel insurance. Contact your insurance provider or credit card company for more information. Insurance when you buy a ticket for an event. The Act relating to purchasers’ right to change their mind about purchases
Chapter 5 section 19 of the Act relating to purchasers’ right to change their minds about purchases concerns limitations on such rights. Section 19 b) states that: ’For distance sales other than telephone sales, the purchaser’s right to change his/her mind does not apply to individual services if the seller, when the agreement is entered into, undertakes to supply the service at a specific time or within a specific period of time.’ Individual services supplied at a specific time or within a specific period of time include, for example, theatre, cinema, concert and plane tickets. In such cases, it is the rules relating to cancellation that apply. Purchased tickets are not refunded.
The parties shall endeavour to resolve any disputes amicably. If this is not successful, the case can be taken to your nearest branch of the Norwegian Consumer Council.
Privacy protection policy
Bergen International Festival has access to personal information such as your name, address, e-mail address, and phone number through our ticket supplier TicketMaster.
This information can be used as described below and for the following purposes:
- To provide you with information regarding events for which you have purchased tickets.
- To prevent or detect unlawful behaviour.
- To send market surveys.
- For marketing purposes.
Concerning events where we collaborate with a third party (e.g. co-productions), said information might also be shared with these.
