Entering its 60th year in 2012 the Bergen International Festival will present concerts, opera, plays, outdoor concerts and street performances with esteemed musicians, orchestras and singers. Choose between more than 150 events in 15 days!
With more than 50 000 visitors, the Bergen International Festival is the largest Nordic festival in its genre and is renowned for its new stage productions and extensive music programme. At the Festival you can experience intimate recitals in Edvard Grieg’s, Harald Sæverud’s or Ole Bull’s living rooms, chamber music in the mediaeval royal hall, contemporary dance and music and much more. Most venues are located in the city centre, within easy walking distance from each other.

Discounts and additional services
We offer group discounts on festival tickets. Groups of more than 10 persons get a 10 per cent discount on tickets, while groups of more than 20 persons get a 20 per cent discount on tickets bought before 7 March.
As an extra service, the Festival also offer so-called pre-concert talks, where someone with great knowledge and enthusiasm will give you a presentation before you enter the venue.
