A masked journey between worlds.
In a dimension between the living and the dead, a space between purgatory and limbo, begins a journey through an imaginary universe inspired by the hereafter. In the heart of Bergen, puppets of big dimensions and masked actors turn up for this performance at Festplassen and by Lille Lungegårdsvann.
Suddenly one is small again, surrounded by large puppets and masks, only to rediscover and remember the perspectives and forms of a child’s vision. The audience is invited along on the journey from this world to the next, in a universe with elements from theatre, contemporary circus and installation.
InBetweenWorlds is the newest performance from the Portuguese company PIA. Since 2002, they have brought theatre art into streets at festivals in Europe, Asia and South America, where they have transformed city spaces to stages and engaged audiences in creative ways.
