Symphonic sound play.
Together with 3rd year students at the primary school teacher education, associate professor Jon Hoem has created a symphonic sound installation for this year's Festival. Here you can play in a landscape of sounds that follows the water's journey from the mountain top to the fjord.
In the background are sounds of water, from the rain that falls on the peaks and flows down the seven mountains, through the city of Bergen, out into the fjord and down into the sea. You and your fellow players can control the composition by placing specially designed, colorful 'sound bells' wherever you want! Pick up a sound bell, move it to another place, watch – and listen! – as the soundscape changes.
The installation consists of a central speaker, with many elements that are connected to the sound bells, and is free to visit.
This event is part of Småspill, a children's art festival created by the Bergen International Festival and Western Norway University of Applied Sciences.
