Edvard Grieg Vokalensemble

with Jonathan Rathbone

Next event:

Celebration in full swing.

The eight singers in Edvard Grieg Vokalensemble constitute the core of Edvard Grieg Kor, the only professional choir in the west of Norway. The choir celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2022, and invites you to a musical celebration with jazz musician, composer and arranger Jonathan Rathbone and a jazz trio.

Jonathan Rathbone joined the Swingle Singers in 1984. He became their musical director and wrote the majority of the music they sang for over a decade. He is in great demand as a composer, arranger and conductor worldwide, and has collaborated with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, Katherine Jenkins, Sir Cliff Richard, Michael Ball and many other renowned musicians.

In addition to works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ward Swingle, this varied concert includes A Tribute to the Duke, a homage to Duke Ellington – also a Jonathan Rathbone arrangement.

This concert's artists and programme have been changed and were updated 16 March 2022.
