A specially produced three-part TV series on architecture after the fall of capitalism.
In May, Nango will contribute to the official online programme of the Bergen International Festival with a specially produced TV series on architecture in three parts. In a talk show-like format, Nango will introduce us to his personal living and working environment, collaborators, friends and the politics that make these spaces.
In an unpretentious setting with musical elements and guests, themes such as "neo-post materialism, the necessary pragmatics of decolonialization and the belief that objects are born objectified without the need for human animation assistance" are presented.
The series will introduce key themes in the upcoming exhibition and provide an insight into Nango's working environment in the North, as well as discuss working methods and theoretical perspectives.
Bergen Kunsthall has decided to postpone Joar Nango's Festival Exhibition to September 2020. The Festival Exhibition is Bergen Kunsthall's flagship exhibition since 1953. Each Summer a large-scale exhibition with new work by a Norwegian artist is presented, in connection with the Bergen International Festival.
