Piano mentoring at the highest level.
For seven days, pianists Håvard Gimse, Christian Ihle Hadland and Leif Ove Andsnes will work with selected Norwegian and international piano students who are in the beginning of their careers.
The three mentors have themselves been mentored by the Piano Academy's founder, Prof. Jiri Hlinka, and are all sought-after soloists and chamber musicians with extensive international experience.
In addition to their work as international concert pianists, Andsnes, Ihle Hadland and Gimse are artistic advisors at the Prof. Jiri Hlinka Piano Academy. Andsnes also has an honorary doctorate from Juilliard School of Music amongst others, Ihle Hadland have previously teached at Barratt Due Institute of Music, and Gimse is a professor at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
The masterclasses take place in Rasmussen Samlingene's venues, and they lead up to a Masterclass concert in Troldsalen, the concert hall at Edvard Grieg's home at Troldhaugen.
