Get to know this year's Artist in residence.
Lise Davidsen from Stokke toyed with the idea of becoming a handball player. Now, the soprano performs on the greatest opera stages in the world, and audiences follow to hear her. As Artist in residence, she takes part in several events during this year's festival, from the opening performance of Tosca to a master class for young singers. In this conversation, you can get to know the Norwegian world star a little more.
Davidsen talks to author and lecturer Sverre Gunnar Haga, who has been hopelessly in love with opera for much of his life. During this year's festival, he will also give an introductory talk before Tosca on Friday, 26 May, and will introduce us to classical music's countless highlights.
