How do you create a more accessible cultural life?
Many associate accessibility with wheelchair users. But which other factors can contribute to making cultural buildings, cultural events or cultural workplaces more or less accessible to disabled people or people from other marginalised groups? Are there barriers that we often forget? And can working on improving accessibility be a tool for reaching new audience groups?
In this conversation, a panel brought together by Norske Kulturarrangører (NKA) and Balansekunst will discuss which physical and social barriers keep potential audiences, performers and cultural workers outside of Norwegian cultural life. NKA and Balansekunst will also present specific tools for working on accessibility.
