Voices of Papillon welcomes new members!

Voices of Papillon is a choir for girls and women with a cross-cultural background, and a collaboration between Festspillkollektivet, the Festival’s socially engaged arts programme, and Papillon, a multicultural meeting place for young people.

The spring season starts Monday 14 February, and the choir has room for more members! The rehearsals take place on Mondays from 16:00–18:00 at Bergen Internasjonale Kultursenter in Kong Oscars gate 15, and on May 20 there will be an end-of-season event and concert. It is completely free to join, but requires registration. Are you 16 years or older and want to join? Sign up here, and feel free to tip a friend!

Do you have any questions? Or do you want to stop by and see what it's like to be at a rehearsal? Get in touch on tel. 973 16 077.

“Not only did I learn to sing alone and with a group, but I got to meet many amazing women from all over the world and made new friends as well.”

Voices of Papillon is one of the Festival's annual Festspillkollektivet projects. The choir started in September 2021, as a continuation of a course in digital songwriting held in the spring that same year. After eight rehearsals, the choir held a warm and beautiful concert at Bergen Kjøtt in late November, where jazz singer Gabriela Garrubo starred as guest artist together with guitarist Peter Dybvig Søreide.

Festspillkollektivet is supported by the Kavli Trust.
