Grieg enthusiast? Here are the highlights you wouldn’t want to miss at the Bergen International Festival 2026!

Did you know that Edvard Grieg’s music festival from 1898, where he conducted and curated a programme at Nygårdshøyden in Bergen, is considered an early forerunner to the Bergen International Festival?

Throughout the Festival’s history, Grieg’s music has been a staple of the programme, with his Piano Concerto in A minor becoming the signature work of the Festival.
