The Bergen International Festival is free, outdoors and for all ages: The programme grows with 38 new events, and it is really time to look forward to the spring, sun and Bergen in May.
This year’s Festival programme is taking shape: Previous launches have included events in Grieghallen, Håkonshallen and the composers’ homes. Now we are adding many new events, where most of them are free and take place outdoors.
Festival square & family performances
In February we announced the return of the Festival square with support by the Grieg Foundation. Now, we are launching events that will take place on the square, including a concert series, playgrounds and even a Sunday brunch.
In addition, we have added a broad spread of family events, including the children’s arts festival Småspill, which will bring many fun moments to Sogndal, Bergen and Stord in collaboration with the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences.
