The Bergen International Festival offers a unique opportunity for international media representatives to join our delegate programme.
Send us an e-mail if you wish to attend our delegate programme.
We’re excited to welcome a range of voices and perspectives to the festival, and encourage applications from all types of media and storytelling formats. While we’d love to accommodate everyone, we do need to curate the delegate list to ensure a good fit with the festival’s focus and goals. Please be sure to review the eligibility requirements before applying.
You should have an assignment (or confirmed plan) to cover the festival through a media outlet. This can be print, digital, broadcast, podcast, or another format.
We’ll need a short letter or email from an editor, producer, or outlet contact confirming the coverage.
Let us know what you’re planning to cover, whether it’s a specific performance, artist, or the festival as a whole, and where your coverage will appear.
Please include examples of your recent published work, ideally related to arts, performance, or culture. This will help us get a sense of your style and experience.
If you're a freelancer, you’ll just need either:
A letter of assignment from an outlet, or
A brief note about your plans for coverage, and two recent bylined pieces.
All types of media are welcome. We are open to traditional and emerging platforms alike.
Business cards or association memberships alone don’t count as proof of eligibility.
Spaces are limited, so meeting the criteria doesn’t guarantee selection. But we’ll be in touch as soon as decisions are made!
Send us an e-mail if you wish to receive press releases.
