Next event

A finale with flair at the Festival square.

While the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra closes this year’s Bergen International Festival with Grieg’s concerto in A minor, it’s the brass ensemble from the Bergen Philharmonic Youth Orchestra who will round off this year’s Festival square with a grand free concert. The programme will be announced closer to the Festival, but expect youthful energy that packs a punch on the first day of summer.

The Bergen Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (BFUng) consists of 138 members aged 15 to 25 from across the country, performing in various constellations. Founded in 2015, BFUng has made several appearances at the Bergen International Festival – including at the 2022 opening ceremony (image).
