CANCEL BERTHA
Families welcome!
A playful dance experience for all ages.
To Carte Blanche – the Norwegian National Company of Contemporary Dance – movement and dance is a universal language regardless of age, background and experience. Therefore, the ensemble welcomes the whole family to this year's Bergen International Festival performance CANCEL BERTHA, choreographed by Belgian Jan Martens.
In CANCEL BERTHA, music isn’t always what you hear—it’s what you see and feel. Here, the dancers’ movements become their own soundscape. The Carte Blanche ensemble crafts a performance that balances the poppy, the avant-garde, and the deeply human in a playful blend of energy and curated chaos.
For several years, Carte Blanche's family-friendly performances have received good feedback from all ages. Here, the audience is allowed to make sounds and move around at will.
