A fairy tale among the trees.
When the sun shines through the treetops, and summer is on the horizon, magical creatures emerge in Harald Sæverud's garden. Huldres and witches, elves and dryads, and even Pan and Nøkken swarm among the trees and streams at Siljustøl, ready to enchant children with various activities.
The family day is a popular tradition during the Festival. In the large outdoor area surrounding Harald Sæverud’s composer’s home, there will be quests and adventure trails, and along the path from the lake to the birch forest, magical experiences await children of all ages. Inside the house, there will be guided tours and musical adventures.
Harald Sæverud himself was a great nature enthusiast who believed that his music came from the earth. He often walked barefoot in the grass and loved the owls in the treetops.
