Anger Management
Festival square
Strong feelings, pillow fights and dance.
We’ve all been there: emotions take over, things get out of hand, and anger is released from the body with enormous energy. From a choreographer’s point of view, this process is a goldmine of new, exciting movements.
This is precicely what the Swiss-American choreographer Joshua Monten has specialized in for this performance. In Anger Management, rage gets free rein in the bodies of four dancers. The floodgates open, and the energy propels them on a quest for revenge, filled with boxing, pillow fights and trembling choreography. The performance is a tribute to the explosive volcano inside each and every one of us, and to the feeling of relief once the storm has passed.
