What do you imagine when you hear music? Sounds can spark images and stories: some hear the quiet of a forest, others the pulse of a city. Through melody and rhythm, the musicians open a world where sound sets the imagination in motion.
In Musical fantasies children are invited into a playful concert experience with the classical musicians of Trio COS – violinists Catharina and Sara Chen with pianist Ole Christian Haagenrud. The programme moves between classical works and more modern pieces, with music by Sergei Prokofiev, Edvard Fliflet Bræin, Erik Satie and Dmitri Shostakovich. Here, there is space to sit still, move around, listen up close – or simply be in the music.
Before and after the concert, the musicians meet the children for conversation, play and listening, giving them a chance to see the instruments up close.
