Award-winning soprano.
“She dazzles with her elastic voice and a stage presence few can match,” wrote Aftenposten about Victoria Randem in the leading role as the Fox in The Cunning Little Vixen at the Norwegian National Opera in March 2025. For this role, she was awarded the Hedda Award, and in October 2025 she received the Flagstad Prize. Now she’s the winner of the Norwegian Soloist Prize 2025 and is on the verge of taking a major leap onto the international stage.
– I believe that music is a universal language, and when it’s expressed through the human voice, a unique connection is formed. To master and convey this language is, for me, a lifelong mission and a privilege, says Victoria Randem.
Randem trained at the Norwegian National Academy of Opera and the Barratt Due Institute of Music, and in 2017 she was accepted into the prestigious studio program at Staatsoper Unter den Linden, where she has also performed several major leading roles.
At 30, she has already appeared on stages such as Glyndebourne, Bayerische Staatsoper, and the Volksoper in Vienna. After making her debut at the Bayreuth Festival this summer, she has now been invited back for three Wagner roles in 2026.
The Norwegian Soloist Prize is an annual music award presented to young, talented soloists. The winners receive 100 000 Norwegian Kroner and their own concert during the festival.
Among the soloists, Victoria Randem as the Fox is irresistible.
