Drop-in concerts

Next event:

Daytime concerts brought to you by tomorrow’s artists.

Drop-in at Grieghallen for musical replenishment at noon or early afternoon. The skilled Grieg Academy students take centre stage nearly every day during the Bergen International Festival with many musical highlights.

These short daytime concerts contain a broad spectrum of music. The programmes are mainly classical, but several of the concerts contain detours to other genres and styles – from classical works to contemporary music, and even new works composed by the students themselves. The concerts are held in a relaxed setting, where the students and teachers often play together.

The Drop-in concerts have been a staple of the Festival programme since the 1970s and is a dear tradition for many. There is also the opportunity to get to know artists which will influence the Norwegian music scene in years to come. The Grieg Academy alumni includes opera singer Lise Davidsen, who is Artist in residence during this year's Bergen International Festival

Programme details for all concerts will be available at fib.no/stikkinnom in May.
