A vibrant venue for art and culture at Fjøsanger.
Rasmussen Samlingene, formerly known as Reksten Samlingene, is a unique venue for art and culture, beautifully situated in Paradis, Bergen. Originally the art-filled home of shipowner Hilmar Reksten, the site was expanded with several buildings and established as an art gallery and cultural centre in 1979. Since 2022, the venue has been revitalised by Strømberg Gruppen, under the leadership of CEO and Bergen International Festival ambassador Per Gunnar Strømberg Rasmussen.
The collections include a wide range of paintings, sculptures, and prints by both Norwegian and international artists – among them Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Ørnulf Opdahl, and Frans Widerberg – as well as one of Northern Europe's largest collections of Persian carpets.
The venue has hosted the Bergen International Festival’s masterclasses for many years.
Wheelchair access is limited due to internal staircases, but accommodations can be arranged in advance.
