Opera director Eivind Gullberg Jensen invites composer Therese Ulvo and librettist Marit Eikemo for a conversation about the new opera Terminus. Together, they offer insight into the creative process behind something as rare as a new Norwegian opera – from the initial ideas to the completed libretto and musical landscape.
What inspired the artists to create Terminus? How do a composer and librettist collaborate to create a new opera? And how does a contemporary work take shape when met with stage, singers, and audience?
Terminus will be performed on Wednesday 28 and Friday 30 May at Cornerteateret.
