A portrait of the Norwegian Soloists’ Choir and Grete Pedersen.
The Norwegian Soloists’ Choir celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2025. The choir’s Artistic director for the past 35 years – and this year’s Festival musician – Grete Pedersen, is also stepping down from the position this year. To mark the occasion, a book is being published, edited by music journalist Bodil Maroni Jensen.
In addition to a historical overview of the choir’s development since its founding in 1950, the book serves as a portrait of Grete Pedersen, told through the voices of singers, composers, and collaborators she has worked with – texts that offer a unique insight into and understanding of how she and the ensemble work.
Meet Festival musician Grete Pedersen in conversation at the book launch. Further participants will be announced.
