A festive summary.

As the Bergen International Festival comes to an end for the 73rd time, the Norwegian Critics’ Association asks: What were the biggest highlights and disappointments of this year's Festival? What impressions do we take away, and what has characterised this year's Festival? Where is the Festival headed?

And what is the deal with Bergen and Oslo? Many foreign journalists flock to the Festival, while media coverage in the capital's press is more modest. Is it just the people in Oslo who don’t get it, or is it fundamentally Bergen’s self-image that’s at fault?
