Carte Blanche – Norway’s national dance company enters the main square with an excerpt from this year’s Festival production, Unchained Melody, choreographed by Mette Ingvartsen.
In Unchained Melody, Ingvartsen uses love songs from different eras as a musical anchor for the choreography. The dancers sing while they move, and the Danish choreographer explores the meeting point of song and dance. Unchained Melody is a performance in which song and movement flow into one another like waves on the sea, and at the Festival square you can experience short excerpts from the production.
The full performance Unchained Melody can be experienced at Studio Bergen from 28 May to 6 June.
