Festival and project support
Kavli Trust
The Kavli Trust is the foundation that owns the entire Kavli Group and its well-known brands. All profits from the sale of these products are donated to charitable causes that help children and young people gain security, confidence and self-belief, while also promoting responsible consumption and production. Since its establishment in 1962, the Kavli Trust has distributed more than NOK 1.4 billion to projects in Norway, Sweden, the UK and international aid initiatives.
The Kavli Trust is supporting the Festival's Open Door initiative with NOK 3 million from 2026 to 2028. Through Open Door, we aim to further develop and systematise our inclusion efforts, with a particular focus on young people and young adults at risk of social exclusion. The Open Door project combines work experience opportunities for young adults with the development of more inclusive audience engagement initiatives. The collaboration with Kavli on Open Door makes it possible to provide young people with work experience within the Festival, while also lowering barriers to participation for audiences together with our volunteers.
