Dei syngjande
Festival square
17 folk singers from Western Norway.
Dei syngjande preserve, explore and recreate folk tunes, identities and voices of the past. It is an encounter between folk singers and repertoire from Voss and Hardanger, as well as from several other parts of Western Norway.
The songs are performed both solo and in multipart singing, and on stage they are not a choir, but rather seventeen soloists singing together.
Dei syngjande is a community that grows stronger together, united by a shared love of the songs and singers of Western Norway.
